RETREATS

Our property is a sanctuary.  It is a place where groups, couples and individuals can come to relax, be refreshed, and replenished.  We offer lodging for groups of all sizes, as well as dining options and can even provide retreat content, if so desired, to make the most of your visit to the True Vine property.

TEAM BUILDING

The True Vine offers a variety of activities that will strengthen your team.  We offer both a high and a low ropes course which will encourage communication, build trust, and unify vision among your team members, employees, or youth group. All of our activities are monitored by our staff to ensure all participants benefit from these challenges.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

At The True Vine we are passionate about training leaders.  We offer leadership development in conjunction with our other programs.  Our leadership development will inspire leaders at any level to look for the next level and to leave a legacy of positive change.

THE BARN

The Barn is a large log barn with an upstairs meeting area capable of seating up to 150 people. This meeting area includes audio/video capabilities and has warm weather ventilation.

The downstairs consists of a full kitchen and 4 temperature controlled bedrooms, which can sleep up to 13. The barn also includes 2 bathrooms and one shower.


The downstairs includes a common area with a wood pellet stove for cold weather.


The Barn can easily accommodate various ministry and corporate meetings as well as weddings and receptions. Twice a year, Outback America holds their Tuscaloosa/ Montgomery weekend retreats.

DINING HALL

The Dining Hall is a large dining pavilion located adjacent to the barn. It is equipped with a commercial size kitchen which can accommodate any sized group, even larger groups which require catering.

OUTDOOR CHAPEL

With log bench seats for 200, an arch and a large wooden cross, the outdoor chapel is situated on a shady hillside at the edge of McRae’s Pond. The site is utilized for teachings, sunrise services and weddings. It was created by the McRaes youngest son, Colin, for his wedding to Amanda in the Spring of 2004.

MISSION HOUSE

The Mission House is a log cabin located in a wooded area near the Barn that is set aside for small groups and individuals in ministry. It has been used by the leadership of Legacy School of Discipleship, The Founders Group, pastoral and elders retreats, church staff retreats, and various full-time ministries. Its primary function is to provide a place of respite from the rush and distractions of every-day life.

This facility includes a full kitchen, washer and dryer, full screened porch and a furnished living room with a fireplace.


The House has 2 ½ bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, which can sleep up to 13. Please no children, teenagers, or pets.

THE ODYSSEY

State of the art high ropes challenge course designed and constructed by Alpine Towers International, one of the nation’s foremost challenge courses and architectural builders. The course meets all requirements of ACCT and is inspected annually by an authorized inspector and maintained regularly according to guidelines.

LOW ROPES

Low Ropes is an assortment of eleven team building elements: trust fall, ship to shore, whale watch, king’s finger, spider web, obstacle wall, Amazon, log jam, Mohawk walk, and triangle.
